Joanna Mirecki Millunchick to become new IU Luddy School dean

Joanna Mirecki Millunchick will become the new dean of IU’s Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering beginning July 1, according to a press release. Dennis Roth had served as interim dean since last March.

Prior to assuming this role, Millunchick served as Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education at the University of Michigan College of Engineering. There, she oversaw the quality of the school’s education and worked on academic policy to improve the student experience on campus.

She will serve as Dean of the Luddy School at both IU-Bloomington and IUPUI. Millunchick will be the first woman to become Luddy’s Dean.

Millunchick is still awaiting confirmation from the IU board.
