The DRiVe-X racing simulator costs just over $20,000

KDDI has announced that it will start running the virtual reality racing simulator DRiVe-X, and including taxes, it will be yours for 2,980,000 yen, or nearly $22,000.

DRiVe-X is a driving simulator created by I-Lock Co., Ltd. The set model released at this time is based on the “DRiVe-X”, the most suitable gaming PC developed in partnership with Intel Corporation, and a set of peripherals chosen by I-Lock. The “DRIVE-X code-F” racing simulator includes the SIMAGIC Alpha-B wheelbase, the SIMAGIC GT4-C-CV1 formula steering and the SIMAGIC 3 P2000-L200 pedal. Additionally, Lenovo’s “Legion T770i” gaming PC, ASUS “ROG Strix XG49VQ” 49-inch curved gaming LCD, HP’s “Reverb G2 1N050AA#ABJ” VR headset, and the bar of his “HT-S200F” from Sony were included.

The kit is compatible with titles like iRacing, Assetto Corsa, Assetto Corsa Competizione, rFactor, rFactor 2, rFactor PRO, DiRT Rally, DiRT Rally 2.0, ProjectCars, Project CARS2, Live for Speed, F1 2021, F1 2020, Euro Truck Simulator 2 and KartKraft.

There are four color variations: Graphite Black Glass Flake, California Blue Glass Flake, Metallic Red Glass Flake, and Ultra White Glass Flake. The simulator has external dimensions of 79 cm in width, 147 cm in depth, 83.5 cm in height and 132 kg in weight.
