The Artificial Intelligence for Analytics and Insights Fair (Ai4Ai) is a new on-campus initiative sponsored by the Diederich College of Communication and the Northwestern Mutual Data Science Institute (NMDSI).
The launch will take place on Friday, May 6, from 10 a.m. to noon at Sensenbrenner Pavilion 304. The event will feature keynote speaker Dr. Victor Amaya, President and CEO of Data You Can Use, a local nonprofit nonprofit that aims to leverage data to improve community conditions.
His keynote will be followed by a panel of Marquette administrators and faculty who will focus on the role universities play in community engagement and bringing data analytics to a local context.
The schedule of events is as follows:
- Welcome by Sarah Feldner, Dean of the Diederich College of Communication, and Larry Zhiming Xu, Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication at the Diederich College of Communication, from 10 a.m. to 10:10 a.m.
- Amaya gives the keynote speech from 10:10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- Roundtable with Amaya, Carmel Ruffolo, Associate VP for Corporate Engagement, Scott Rex, Co-Director of NMDSI, and Larry Zhiming Xu, Director, Ai4Ai Lounge from 11:00 a.m. to 11:40 a.m.
- Q&A from 11:40 a.m. to 11:55 a.m.
