The new trailer for Among us VR showed off some cute uses of the game’s new format, like the different hand gestures players can perform, but didn’t go into detail about what Among us VR gameplay is actually like. Fans might expect the game to be a carbon copy of Among us played in first person, but that may not be the case. Various features have yet to appear Among Us VR. In order to keep the game interesting, Innersloth and Schell Games need to make sure the game has lots of unique and nostalgic features.

Among Us VR Gameplay Questions

Some fans may have noticed that the wide range of Among us cosmetics did not make an appearance in the new trailer. Innersloth may have preferred the simplicity of Crewmate’s standard models, but without any evidence of character customization it’s hard to say whether Among us VR makes room for cosmetics. Innersloth has also only shown the VR version of the Skeld map so far, which means it’s unclear if Among us VR bring it all back Among us‘ Maps. Moreover, it is difficult to say whether any of the Among us‘ recent updates have their place in the VR version; Cosmicubes and additional player roles are yet to be discussed.

It’s understandable if Among us VR must reduce a few of these features. For example, not all Among us cosmetics will necessarily work well in VR, as they might be much more distracting in first person than from an isometric perspective. However, Among us VR still needs a wide variety of game features to be successful. If it ditches a lot of maps, customization options, and other mechanics for simplicity, then Among us VR will risk feeling like a stripped-down version of the original game, even with the novelty of virtual reality. If it feels like a shallower experience than Among us, so Among us VR can be condemned.

Build Among Us VR

As long as Schell and Innersloth are committed to creating a single base of functionality in Among Us VR, it can still succeed, especially if these features combine the classic Among us content with new ideas. For example, Among us VR should really have a customization system, but Innersloth could offer new cosmetics that are particularly charming or entertaining in virtual reality. Besides, Among us VR might consider cutting a Among us map or two if it catches up with a brand new map that uses the VR experience creatively.

Fortunately, it shouldn’t be too long before Innersloth explains the basic components of Among Us VR, as it is supposed to come out later this year. Fans didn’t even take a good look Among us tasks in the VR game, so there’s plenty for Innersloth to discuss in future trailers or presentations. The hope remains that Among us VR will have a variety of game features that are worth playing normally Among us, but at this time the lack of evidence for the standard Among us features is a bit of a concern.
